Made for the Playlist

Taste is just a conversation you keep having with the songs you love.

Headphones were my first private room: the place I could finally hear my own thoughts, with a melody holding them steady. Listening turned into curating. Every playlist I make is a small portrait: the order, the mood, the track I couldn’t cut. I sequence songs the way I sequence essays, a slow open, a lift in the middle, something warm to leave you with. It says I thought of you.
